Buying Skiing Equipment in Bahrain

Well there's not long to go now until we head off Skiing. You may have already been out buying your termals, hats, scarves and gloves. Some of you may be Ski shopping over the holidays if you are heading to a colder part of the world. For those people staying in Bahrain it may be more difficult to get hold of everything that you need.

Well don't worry!

We've recieved a great tip (thanks Mrs. O'Donnell).

"There is a great shop for ski gear on Salmanyia Ave called Brands for Less, fantastic value in imported German Ski gear, jackets, pants, gloves, hats, goggles and snow boots. I am skiing next week and stocked up on loads of great stuff."

Happy Shopping (like you need an excuse!)

PS. Happy Christmas, have a safe and restful holiday.

Hi Everybody,

Just signed on......... Works really well!!!!!

Ski Training Cancelled Again, Sorry!!!

Unfortunately due to back to back parents’ afternoons for Year 12 and Year 11 on Sundays 28th Oct and 4th Nov we have to cancel the Ski Fitness Training for another week. The next training session will be on Sunday 11th Nov.
So until then keep your personal fitness training up. Remember the yoga exercises that Mr D-C showed you at the last session. You should be doing them every morning!!! Also remember to sit against the wall once in a while, knees at 90 degrees!
Good luck!!!

Get Training NOW to have more fun THEN!

What training should I do?
Ski training should improve your flexibility, aerobic fitness (stamina) and development leg strength.
So, get jogging, lunging, squatting and occasionally sit against a wall. Remember those knees should be at 90o! For the flexibility give the yoga a go every morning!

Why bother training?
The more flexible you are, the less likely you are to injure yourself. Strong legs will help you improve your skiing. As you get fitter, you can ski for longer and the more fun you will have on the trip!
